Rooted Oak Farm

It requires a lot of land to grass-feed and finish livestock. In order to create a bit of a community on the farm and to provide an opportunity to start-up farms to access land in an affordable manner, Grazing Days has rented some of our land to a few other farming enterprises. One of these farms is Rooted Oak, who have been farming on our land since 2017.

Rooted Oak farm is a certified organic vegetable and flower farm that serves families across Ottawa via CSA and farmers’ markets. Employing minimal till, Rooted Oak strives to steward the soil with the environment in mind.
